Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane, recently wrote a letter that she sent to Missouri’s Springfield News Leader. The letter was in strong support of Mitt Romney and where he stood on some important issues. Good for Jane that she stood fast to her beliefs instead of going along with what others think she should! I believe that she was against (as many others) Obama’s allowance of killing unborn children and allowing the gay/lesbian stuff.
It’s hard to believe that, in the olden days, if you were a homosexual, you kept it private and didn’t advertise it or dare push to have the same rights as a husband and wife (man & woman). What’s so sad is that we’ve taken ten steps back in many ways. Now days, if you don’t believe in advertising homosexuality or if you believe that a marriage is between a man and a woman or dare to bring god and religion into it, you must keep that to yourself! Freedom of speech or beliefs my ass (pardon my language but it infuriates me), I would love to see those who are really against homosexuality, in any way, shape, or form, stand up and say so, but no, now those people who disagree have to do so in secret! It’s bull! How many celebrities have let their being against it slip, and the next thing you know there are threats of blackballing them?
Face it, Jane Pitt had the guts to stand up and say what she really felt, and we could all take a page out of her book. Just because a group of people have pushed and pushed, crying foul every damned time we turn around, we have to change our core beliefs? Or, just as bad, we have to keep what we feel a secret? Jane is right about much of what she said, primarily about Barack Obama, but I just hope she got through to some people, Heaven knows she has set a great example.
