Cesspool Society!Death Of Religion!Homosexuality!

This Paula Dean situation has me so awfully disgusted with the state of things in this country, I can’t even begin to tell you! My grandfather always said that the only thing that will fix this country is another civil war, I never understood why he was so sure that such a strong action would ever even be needed, until now! There is zero privacy left for any of us, even our own government spies on us, we’re in danger of losing our right to bear arms, and there is no such thing of freedom of speech. Sad that our own citizens are the ones that have robbed the rest of us, that, along with our freedom of religion! They went so far as to disallow prayer in schools!

Back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s life was totally different, people had some religion, currently most children don’t know God and have never heard of the ten commandments, parents don’t make it a priority! Yes, back in the day, most teens went to the drive in rather than go out partying all the time, getting slop drunk and having sex with anyone they could find. Girl’s weren’t encouraged to get pregnant, safe sex wasn’t an issue because they were taught abstinence instead. Freedom of speech was a reality and those gays that were around, they kept their preferences to themselves, rather than flaunt their sex lives. Can you imagine them having the audacity to have ever pushed for the rights given to married men and women, back then?

In those days many people were able to go to bed, without stressing about whether or not they locked all of their doors and windows! Crime wasn’t nearly as bad as it’s become, but what do you expect in a world that’s become far worse than Sodom and Gomorrah? Step back and look at it 100 percent unbiased, without feelings and just letting your logic lead. Don’t let the fact that you might have a gay friend or relative, influence you. Now, think of the Bible, where in that book did you¬†ever see it written that a couple of the same sex should be married? Where does it say that God finds that acceptable? Before you spend a year trying to look, I’ll tell you, you will not find either in the Bible anywhere! Once again, people want to change the word of God, to say what they want, attempting to justify their behavior, their actions, their lust, their sins. In the not so far future, many of us will rue the day that churches will cave in and allow gay marriages, pre marital sex and Heaven forbid, suppressing our right to freedom of speech!

Now I truly believe that God is all loving, that if we¬†follow his word, we will indeed be rewarded. However, the Bible lets us know that while he is a loving God, he will not allow sinners to be rewarded, or for the good books words to be twisted, warped and downright contradicted! It may be a drastic example, but think of a torturing, thieving, abusive brute, who slaughtered twenty people and nineteen of them were small, innocent children. Can you imagine him standing at the gates of Heaven saying that nowhere in the Bible did it say that one couldn’t slaughter 1 adult and 19 children? That those words weren’t written there? How about a gay man standing there, saying that the good book stated that a man shall not lay with another man, and that he and his partner only stood? Or, the same telling God what the book that God wrote did and did not say? How if it was a sin, then why did so many others in the world, also condone it and push for their equality? Huh, there will be endless others in line behind him, who will have to turn back and take a 1 way ride into hell!

Please understand, a good Christian shouldn’t¬†hate¬†or abuse homosexuals, but when it is condoned by a person, it then becomes their sin as well. By agreeing that they should have all of these different rights that are expressly afforded to normal married men and women, well that is the same as you yourself being gay! There’s something else you can forever search the Bible for, and wont find, nowhere does it say that you can be a homosexual, you should go out into the streets pissing and whining about not having rights that a man and woman have, or that you should publicly speak about your sexual likes & dislikes, preferences, sexual positions, etc. Take a lesson from normal heterosexuals, keep such things¬†private!¬†That should be common sense, at the very least, as well as common courtesy!

A Grave Warning About Signing Hospital Forms!

I recently had a nightmare of a problem, both with my health, and with an area¬†hospital, take my advice, do not sign anything in a hospital, without reading it yourself or having someone with you, read it first! The hospital staff all know that when you are in severe distress, you aren’t likely to read what they put it front of you before signing it, most of the time you aren’t able to.

I went for nearly a week with severe pain until I couldn’t stand it anymore and went to a local clinic, after my doctor didn’t return my calls after three days. The physician there wanted to call an ambulance as he believed that I was suffering from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, they weren’t an urgent care facility and he convinced me to get to the hospital immediately. Living in northeastern Pennsylvania in the country, the closest hospital was in Scranton, so I went to Moses Taylor.

After registering, the nurse took me in to get a history and my vitals, she also drew blood, after sticking my veins four times, and digging in the veins for five minutes. Then she took me back to a curtained area and left me there for two hours in agony, until I walked out! During that time, sitting there with the nurses right there in sight behind the desk, gossiping and not doing much else, no one so much as came into the area I was in, no one said one word or acknowledged that I was there.

Since it was Friday, I made it home and planned on trying to suffer through it until Monday when I’d call and beg my doctor to help me. Saturday afternoon a nurse from the hospital called my house, she said that they’d gotten the results from my blood work and I needed to come back in right away. All I could get out of her was that I was severely anemic, she said she could tell me that since I was already aware and that my glucose was extremely high, as well. She wouldn’t tell me what was so pressing, about the results and insisted I come back, so I did.

Again, I sat there waiting until a so called doctor came in, pressed on my stomach and told me that he’s have the nurse take care of my pain, and they would do some tests on me. In the meantime, two hours go by and a girl comes in with papers for me to sign, she said they were just consent to treat forms. After she’d left, my mother who was with me, began looking the forms over. This girl checked the box giving permission for them to take any images pertaining to me, for teaching and other purposes, I didn’t approve of that. She also wrote on her hand writing that there would be a $100.00 co pay, for the semi private room they put me in! The real clincher, was that they have you sign, giving permission for them to release your records, and¬†do not tell you to what parties your confidential records will be released to! If you question that, they’ll claim that you will be billed and the insurance will not pay, otherwise! This is not true, be extremely careful with what a hospital has you sign, or you might very well be sorry!

I ended up walking out, after hours of sitting there with no tests done besides more blood work, no pain relief, no one giving the slightest damn, until I went to walk out. A nurse that three people said they’d get, for over an hour and couldn’t find, came and said that she was just coming in to treat my pain and do some tests. I went back in, they drew more blood and the doctor came back in, after explaining about a surgery I needed but couldn’t be done, due to the anemia and asking if they could do an ultra sound to see if that was the problem, he rudely, loudly talked over me, I hurt so bad I turned to my mother and asked her to try and explain it to him. He said to her sarcastically, an who are you, doctor _____? I said, she’s my mother, who’d know my medical history a hell of a lot better than you! I got up to leave and he said not to move until I signed some form, because it was likely a serious problem I had. I told him no, I wasn’t signing anything else, since he told me the blood work was all in order!

Not only is Moses Taylor Hospital, filled with many so called doctors, who I wouldn’t trust to look at my cat, it isn’t the cleanest hospital around, not at all! It seems that some of the medical staff, didn’t get the memo about universal precautions, and wearing gloves for their own and the patients protection. When you live in a small town and aren’t close to any of the bigger cities with the better hospitals, it can be a matter of life and death. Please hear me well, and read ever last line of the forms that they want you to sign, before doing so. Have someone with you if you aren’t able, since most people are in a bad way when they go there and don’t have the foggiest idea!

Questions About Religion

I have always been curious about each, of the many different religions, as I can’t say that there has been one that I can agree on all that it believes. I know many Catholics and began there, in my quest of which religion was right for me. I made an appointment with the Monsignor of a local Catholic church, to see if he could answer a few of the questions I had. First, I asked him why it was that they consider babies to be born with¬†original sin. He said that it went way back to when Eve ate the forbidden apple in the garden of Eden, and as a result, the gates of heaven were closed to all souls. Then I asked him why Jesus was crucified, why God allowed that to be done to his only son, he responded by saying that it had to be done, he had to be sacrificed so that we all had the chance to be saved, to get into heaven! I didn’t feel that it made any sense, if Jesus died for our sins, so that the worthy could get into heaven, then how could babies be born with¬†original sin? I also wondered why the Catholics make the sign of the cross over their chests upon entering the church. The Monsignor said that they just do it out of respect, pretty much. But, the bible states for men to do their alms in private, not in public for the benefit of others seeing! And what really confuses me, is why the Catholics have so many prayers, to so many different¬†saints, and why all the prayers to Mary, along with the hail Mary stuff? He had no clear answers to that one, but the bible states that God is a very jealous God, and there shall be no others before him. Aren’t¬†prayers¬†said to Gods?

Okay, so I have some tough questions and I’m sure for many of them, there really aren’t any answers, but I’d like to at least make sense of some of it all. Like when Jesus was on the cross with the two criminals beside him, the one man said that if Jesus really was the son of God, then save himself, and them! The other criminal told him that they were getting what they deserved, but that Jesus had done no wrong, then he said to Jesus to remember him when he came into his kingdom. Jesus responded,¬†“Today thou shalt be with me in paradise”. ¬†Fast forward to Mary when she saw Jesus outside of the tomb where he was laid to rest, he told her, “Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended unto my father”. Where was he for three days? Where did he go?

The Jehovah’s Witnesses beliefs don’t make sense to me either, some of them that is. Life is a gift, so why is it they do not believe in celebrating birthdays? They don’t believe in the sign of the cross, stating that Jesus died on a stake, okay, perhaps he did, but what does that matter? He was crucified for our sins, period, whether it was on a post, a cross, an iron rod, it doesn’t change it. The fact that they do not believe in saluting the flag, well, that’s kind of a sensitive thing for me. I can actually understand in part, why they don’t, it has nothing to do with whether or not a person is proud of their country, I think it’s more of what it stands for. There have been so many wars throughout history, so much fighting, constant conflict. Sure, we can be proud of our soldiers, themselves, but since Obama has taken over our Government, I think there are record numbers of people who are not proud, so many of our young sons that had their whole lives ahead of them, are dead. Why? Because we have always had a habit of sticking our noses in where they don’t belong, and not sticking it in there, when we should have! But the major dissatisfaction with Obama is for another post.

I can’t really say a whole lot about the Jewish faith, because I don’t know a whole lot about their beliefs. But, are they, or aren’t they the ones who crucified Jesus? Or was Jesus himself, a Jew, I know they called him king of the Jews, but I don’t know if that was sarcasm. I never could get a clear cut answer on that one, it changes with each person you ask.

Finally, there is the church of Jesus Christ the Latter Day Saints, better known as the Mormons. I do know a bit about them. I fully believe that they got a bad rap through the years, from these branch off¬†sects¬†that call themselves Mormons! You cannot, in good faith partake of the sacrament, if you drink coffee, smoke or drink alcohol. They believe that your body, your gift from God, is your¬†temple,¬†which you should take care of. Many of the members can their own food, and have a certain period of times, food stocked just in case. That really does seem like a logical, good thing to do I guess. A question I asked was, if a person is not an ax murderer, though certainly not a saint, then the person isn’t worthy of going to the same place as the saint, but isn’t vile enough to go where the murderer is going, where does that soul go when it leaves this world! That’s when I found out that the Mormons believe that there are different kingdoms of heaven. Being totally unbiased, I will say this though for the Mormons, they help each other, and those outside of the faith, like no one I’ve ever seen. When there have been disasters, like hurricane Katrina, they donated more than you could believe, the difference with them, and most of the other donating sources though, was that they did not publicize it anywhere, they feel that if you are helping others out, it should be because it’s the right thing to do. If you do it for bragging rights, then it was done to help yourself, it takes away from what you’ve done!

I’ll continue learning about the different religions, since I would love to find the right one for me, but I don’t believe that only one particular religion or church will be saved.¬†I truly believe that your so called religious beliefs come from within yourself, that if you’re a good person, through and through, then you will be rewarded after you leave this life. Who knows, maybe we are all reincarnated and the evil ones will come back as snakes or something! Who knows, all I know is that I do, wholeheartedly believe in God, I know he is real, he exists. You notice how whenever someone is in a serious, life threatening situation, even if they don’t necessarily believe in God, they pray for his help! Then, when God intervenes, they stop the praying and it’s back to business as usual, yet when they get into trouble again, they remember God. It’s like a friend that you only call when you need their help with something, but you never call them just to thank them for all that they have done for you! It’s certainly something to think about!

Hunters And Poachers

Why are there poachers? What makes someone want to kill an innocent animal? Money, or does it make some moron feel macho, like a real man, to kill an animal that cannot even defend itself against human weapons? I don’t believe that the African people have the slightest idea of how lucky they are, to have animals there that most of us will only ever see in pictures. The elephants who are in dire need of water, seek out watering holes where they can, then they are speared by the Africans there who take their cattle to the same watering hole! Not only do they begrudge the elephants the water, but to spear them so that they die a slow agonizing death, which also leaves their calves to die!

I watched some real estate show a few days ago, this man wanted a second place in Alaska for him and his son. He wanted somewhere where there were a lot of clusters of bears, so that he and the son could shoot them! He attempted to justify their thrill of killing bears, by stating that they often donate the meat, and went so far as to inspect some droppings by a lake to be sure that it was from a bear! Sadly, his pre teen kid was a clone of himself, all about shooting and killing anything that moved. No one ever seems to give thought to what happens when there are no more animals left because they have hunted them to extinction!

Mankind just loves to slaughter, to wipe out any and every species that there are, seals, whales, sharks, wolves, rhinoceros, elephants, lions, tigers, leopards, pumas, wild boars, gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, polar bears, grizzly bears, black bears, elk, alligators, crocodiles, hell, they even hunt and kill snakes for their skins! It seems that people like that, wont be happy, wont stop the killing, until there is nothing left to kill anymore, and then, who knows, perhaps their taste for blood will extend to humans!

I’ve never been able to understand it, it’s not even like it’s a challenge to kill an innocent animal, after all, the animal can’t defend itself, it’s unarmed, it doesn’t stand a chance, so how can these guys brag about killing them? I don’t know which is worse, the braggarts or the good for nothings that poach animals for the money they can get! What should be done in each country that has a problem with poachers, is to have a task force set up, when poachers go after an animal, the task force should shoot them on sight, plain and simple. I guarantee that it would cut down on the poaching then! I am all for the right to bear arms, however, these people who stockpile guns just to go out continually hunting and killing animals, take their guns and their right to have one! We need strict limits on how many animals people are allowed to hunt, but the laws need to be enforced!

Elephants are in one of the sorriest states, they are so intelligent and compassionate, they mourn their dead like no other animal out there, and are very like us. They are suffering terribly with food shortages, drought, and of course with human hatred. They have no one to give them a voice, to stick up for them, protect them, protect their young, to insure that they have a future. It’s not the problem of another country, it’s a problem for all of us, because if we don’t do something soon, it’ll be too late for all species.
